Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to Genoa Elementary School!  We look forward to working with both you and your child during the upcoming school year and will make every effort to ensure that your child has a successful academic experience.

Genoa Elementary School is dedicated to identifying the individual needs of our learners.  By examining each student’s learning styles and implementing best methods of instruction, we can provide learners with the tools needed to be productive members of society now and in the years ahead. Our efforts support the district’s mission statement, which is to “Prepare students to excel and contribute to their community.”

Parents and families play an important role in a student’s academic success. Research shows that the more involved a family is in their child’s educational process the higher a child will achieve. We ask that all parents and families play a key role in their child’s academic, social and emotional development. Together we can make your child’s learning experience at Genoa Elementary School a great one.

When visiting the school, please use the front entrance on Hill Street and register in the front office. For the safety of our students, all building doors will remained locked while school is in session.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call us at 815-784-3742. The office is open on school days from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. (We do have an answering machine for your convenience if the office is closed or the secretary is away from her desk).

We look forward to having a great year with your child.
