The Confederacy was made up of 7 states:  Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Texas. Jefferson Davis and Alexander Stevens were president and vice president.

The  Confederacy went into war against the northern states in 1863. They fought for being able to have slavery in America.
