These are some of the weapons used in the Civil War:
12-percent guns …a rather large rifle that is used to snipe the enemies .It has a 6.46barrel.
1841 howitzers…more like pistol sized guns and have a 6.467-sized barrel. It has a .12-pound Bullet.
Model 1841 6-percent Gun The 6-pounder was a popgun. Used extensively during the Mexican War, it was made obsolete by the increased range of the available infantry weapons as much as by the coming of better artillery.
Though fairly mobile at 900 pounds, it's softball-sized shot was entirely too small to do much damage and it could easily be outranged, especially once rifled guns came into play. Most sources give it a range of about 1500 yards, but this is being generous. No doubt the gun could throw a shot that far but, at that distance, its small round projectile could hardly be accurate and would be easy for troops to avoid.
These guns existed in large numbers at the outbreak of hostilities, however, and were pressed into service by both sides. Both sides also got rid of them as quickly as possible.
12-pounder "gun-howitzer."- Developed under the auspices of Louis Napoleon of France, it first appeared in the American artillery in 1857. It is relatively light and portable.
3-inch Ordnance-This is a small but medium sized cannon used to attack small forts
10-per Parrott rifles-This is a large cannon used in large battles and in the act of seizing forts and towns.
