Born: February 12, 1809, in Hodgenville, Hardin County, Kentucky

1828-  In April, Abraham, now 19, and Allen Gentry take a flatboat of cargo of farm produce to New Orleans. During the trip they fight off an robbery attack by seven black men. At New Orleans Abe observes a slave auction.

He loved reading books. Went to school for a little while.

A little girl told Abe he would look good with a beard so he grew one. He has become famous for his beard & tall hat. He put papers under his hat so he wouldn't forget anything.

Was the sixteenth President of the United States. He was 52 years old when he became the president
