Welcome to a new year at Genoa-Kingston Middle School. GKMS is a vibrant place where students have many opportunities to excel academically and socially. It is also a place where staff is developing to become the best they can be.
All teachers are participating in the Model Classrooms Project. We begin the year with Content, Thinking, and Product months. Your student should notice Three Part Objectives clarifying what will be learned in class. Students are asked to participate in the process and create TPO’s using cognitive “thinking” verbs. That process develops into students recognizing and differentiating levels of thinking. By year’s end, we expect that all teachers and students will better recognize higher order thinking and apply that knowledge to excel in the learning process. |
