Bunker Hill

During the war there where a lot of battles, here are two of them.

At The Battle of Bunker Hill, American troops were dug in along the high ground of Breed's Hill. They were attacked by a frontal assault of over 2000 British soldiers storming the hill. The American troops were ordered not to fire until they could see the whites of the British eyes. The British got within 15 paces or 30 steps, then the Americans let loose their fire.

The British retreated and regrouped. Then they attacked within 30 min. with the same result. The third attack was a success but the British lost more than half of their force. This happened June 17, 1775.
