Ancient Persia

Ancient Persia was a series of empires that ruled over the Iranian plateau area.  The Persian Empire became known as Iran in 1935.

Goods

The Persian Empire domesticated animals and planted crops such as wheat and barley.  The most popular product of the Persian Empire was their hand painted pottery.  Pottery was the most commonly found artifact in the ruins of Ancient Persia.

The Persian Empire ruled many other empires such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Syria, and some parts of Asia Minor and India.
