Ok, so you have seen lasers before in movies, right? The whole Darth Vader "Luke I am your father" thing. Pretty cool, huh? Well the swords they use in the movies are really special effects. Lasers are used in such things like that.  In fact, lasers are not only used in movies, but also in concerts.
