A Message from Superintendent: Joe Burgess

Our greatest happiness does not depend on the condition of life in which chance has placed us, but is always the result of a good conscience, good health, occupation, and freedom in all just pursuits.
Thomas Jefferson

The recognition of Memorial Day and honoring those who served our country past and present brings many things in perspective. The sacrifices our men and women in uniform give on a daily basis are outstanding. As we reflect on those sacrifices made for all us to maintain our freedom as Americans please take a moment to thank a veteran or current soldier.

Memorial Day also marks for educators an end to the school year and the beginning of summer. Graduation is complete, celebrations of thirteen years of schooling are held, and plans for the future are made. I believe it is important to remember for all of us that our system of government and world class educational system is possible due to the freedom we are afforded in this great nation.

So as we embark on summer and put a close to Memorial Day, please take a moment to thank all of those great people in our lives.

Thank you.

Joe Burgess
