2nd Grade Newsletter
Week of 2/22
Word Work: We are working on er, ir, ur words.
Our high frequency words are: like, put, also, saw, first, into, done.
Reading: We’re finishing a nonfiction text, “Money Matters” and starting a fiction text called, “I Wanna Iguana.” We’re working on asking and answering questions about a text and understanding story structure.
Writing: We’re continuing our focus on opinion writing and using commas.
Math: We are finishing Topic 9 and will have the test on 2/22 and 2/23. We will begin Topic 10 on addition within 1,000.
Other News and Reminders:
Information came home about Jump Rope for Heart and the KES fundraiser.
We will continue with our 8:00 Google Meets. Your child will be bringing his or her math book back and forth between school and home each day.
