Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Hall of Fame for Genoa-Kingston High School is to honor and recognize GK students, staff members, organizations and supporters who have demonstrated excellence and contributions to their community. The award could also be given to others who have given meritorious service to Genoa-Kingston High School. There are six categories of the GKHS Hall of Fame:
- Personal Achievement
- Extra-Curricular Achievement
- Friend of Genoa-Kingston High School
The nomination process takes place January through May, and selections will be made by a 10 person HOF committee (School Principal, Superintendent, AD, board member, two teachers and four community members). Nominees must have had significant contributions in one of the six categories, and must have been out of school for 10 years. Hall of Fame members will be recognized each year at the first home football game, with a dinner awards ceremony the following evening.
