GKMS Families,

What a great year this has been.  The students have done a tremendous job all school year long and it is time for the sprint to the finish.  Next week, they will take their last tests and write their final papers.  GKMS students always do their best!  There is only a little over a week left of school and so much to do. The teachers have planned a variety of activities for the end of the school year.  On Friday, May 20th, we are having a school-wide PBIS Celebration at the end of the school day.  They will get to choose from a variety of activities; basketball, board games, cake walk, bingo, ice cream bar, and more.

If your student ordered a yearbook, it will be handed out on their last day of school and students will have an opportunity to get it signed by their peers.

8th Grade Students

Next Friday, May 20th, is the GKMS 8th Grade Dance.  The dance is open to all current 8th grade students.  A ticket is required for entry and will be sold again next week during lunch for $5.  The doors will open at 7pm and the dance will end at 9pm.

The Promotion Ceremony is taking place Monday, May 23rd, at 7pm at GKHS in the gymnasium.  This is also the last day for all 8th grade students.  There are no tickets required to join us in the celebration and there is no limit on the number of family and friends that may attend this event.

As always, please contact me with any questions at or call me at 815-784-5222.  Have a great weekend and an even better week!
