2nd Grade Newsletter
Week of 3/8
Word Work: We are working on er, ir, ur words.
Our high frequency words are: first, fast, time, corner, enough, toward, into, ago, any.
Reading: We are working on a fiction text called, “I Wanna Iguana.” We’re working on understanding story structure, describing character traits, and identifying point of view.
Writing: We’re continuing our focus on opinion writing and using commas.
Math: We are finishing up our topic on three digit addition.
Other News and Reminders:
On Monday, March 8th, hybrid students will begin coming back to school Monday through Friday from 8-1.
Please remember to send a water bottle with your child each day.
Be sure to send your child with a coat even as our weather starts getting warmer. Students must wear a coat to recess unless the temperature is 65 degrees or higher.
