Literacy
In ReadyGen we are focusing on characters, setting, and retelling events. Students are also learning the difference between fiction and non-fiction reading material. Vocabulary and parts of speech (nouns, proper nouns, and verbs) are essential parts of our lessons.
Phonics
Focus:
sh, th, -al (shop, mash, them, math, salt, malt)
Tricky Words of the Week
Continue to practice reading, writing, and spelling the first 50 fry words this week. We will be testing these words in December.
Focus Words:
(Review of “w” sight words we already covered)
was, with, words, what, we, were, when, which
Math
We will begin math topic 5 addition and subtraction equations to 20. Our focus facts are -8 and -9.
Reminders
Student school hours are 8:00-2:50 each day.
Please send two snacks to school with your student each day.
Please send your child to school with a spill proof water bottle each day.
Our classrooms can be cool. Please send a sweatshirt with your student.
Temps are cooler please send gloves, hats and a warm jacket for outdoor play.
Please continue to check Seesaw throughout the week for messages.
If your child is sick or there is a change of transportation, you must call the office.
Please have your student return the attached homework by next Monday.
