📚✨ Genoa Elementary School 5th Grade Spelling Bee ✨📚
We are so proud of all the students who participated in our 5th grade Spelling Bee! After a fantastic competition, please join us in congratulating our winners:

They will be representing Genoa Elementary at the District Spelling Bee on January 15th. 🎯
Also, a big shoutout to Cooper, who will be joining us as our alternate! We wish them all the best as they compete at the district level! 🥳
This year, Genoa Elementary's music teacher, Miss Andrews, started an afterschool choir, called Genoa Beginning Choir (GBC). She has well over 50 students participating. They performed at their first concert last night along with the middle and high school choirs. They were amazing, after only 8 practices or 8 hours of practice. A special shout out to Miss Andrews and fulfilling her dream of a youth choir. Great job!!!

GES Picture Retakes are Tueday, December 3, 2024.
🎉 Huge congratulations to our fantastic music teachers, Ms. Andrews and Mr. Drews, on receiving the Farny R. Wurlitzer Foundation Fund Grant to enhance their classrooms! We’re excited to see the music and creativity that will flourish with these new resources. Big thank you to the DeKalb County Community Foundation (IL) for the grant!
The next Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) meeting will be on November 12 at 5:00 PM in the GES library! Topics covered in this meeting will be ACCESS/Data/MAP and IAR. Snacks will be provided!
