Our second graders had a blast on their last field trip to Russell Woods! They went on a hike, learned about worms and other animals through different activities!

Monday (10/27): “Show your RED” – Wear Red for Red Ribbon Week
Tuesday (10/28): “Put a CAP on Drugs” – Wear a hat.
Wednesday (10/29): “Say no to Drugs” – Wear your Red Ribbon with Pride (Students will receive the Ribbon at school) Red Ribbon Week Ribbons
Thursday (10/30): “Shade out Drugs Day” – Wear your sunglasses
Friday (10/31): “Say Boo to Drugs!” – Dress in your Halloween costume. Follow school guidelines.

In collaboration with Rooted for Good - Genoa, the GKHS and GKMS Impact Clubs will be hosting a Halloween Costume Distribution on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Rooted For Good - Genoa.

The GKHS and GKMS Community Impact Clubs are collecting new and gently used Halloween costumes. All Donations can be brought into the middle/high school front office or the Genoa Public Library by Wednesday, November 5.

💡 A huge THANK YOU to the Inventors Lab for visiting Kingston Elementary School and sharing some seriously cool science with our students! Their water-based demonstrations perfectly tied into our One School, One Book selection — Gooseberry Park and the Master Plan — and left students wide-eyed and inspired! Every student even went home with a “Super Slurper” — an absorbent polymer that can soak up water and transform into a gel-like substance, holding up to 2,000 times its weight! Now that’s science in action!

📚 From Grandpa’s Slippers in the fall to Grandpa’s Shorts before spring break — our superintendent, Dr. Wagner, made a return visit to read to our first graders! It was a great day hearing this funny story!
