We are excited to begin rolling out a new app called 5 Star Students. This platform will support several school functions, and beginning next year it will also be used as part of our e-hall pass system.
Beginning Wednesday, April 8, we will begin using 5 Star Students for morning arrival to school. Rather than checking student IDs at the door, students will scan their digital student ID in the 5 Star Students app when they arrive each day. Once a student scans in, the app will automatically send an email to parents/guardians indicating that the student has arrived at school.
We understand that not every student will want to download the app on their phone, and some students may not have a phone at all. Students who do not wish to use the app on a phone, or who do not have a phone, may complete this form. We will then print a barcode sticker for the student’s physical ID that can be scanned each morning upon entry.
For those who would like to use the app, we will also include a QR code in this message that links directly to the 5 Star Students app in the App Store.
We believe this system will help improve efficiency, strengthen communication with families, and support future school operations through the 5 Star Students platform.
Thank you for your cooperation and support as we implement this new process.

Representatives from KEC will be presenting to families about the programs/classes they offer. These courses get students started on a career or technical pathway. After completion of a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree, many of these students will be ready to enter the workforce with an industry credential in their field.
