On February 16th, GKMS is hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences from 12pm-8pm. This is a great opportunity to meet with your student’s teachers and discuss how things are going for your middle school student. To sign up for a conference you will log in to your Skyward Parent Portal and click on the Parent/Teacher Conference 2/16 tile. After clicking on the tile you will be able to select a 9 minute time slot and an individual teacher. You may sign up for as many parent/teacher conferences as you would like. If you have any questions on how to sign up for a conference, please contact the office at 815-784-5222.
8th Grade Update
On February 9th, the high school guidance counselors are coming to the middle school to present information on course selection along with graduation requirements to the 8th grade students during the school day. On Wednesday, February 15th, the high school is hosting a Freshman Informational Session at 7pm at GKHS in the auditorium. At the meeting they will share information regarding the earning of credits, courses required for graduation, the importance of getting involved in activities at GKHS and a question and answer session. The 8th Grade Dance and 8th Grade Promotion are scheduled for May 19th and 22nd, respectively.
