Genoa-Kingston Schools welcomes parents and community members to volunteer at our schools! We appreciate everyone's valuable time and talents to help the district and our students live by the mission of, "Preparing students to excel and contribute to their community."

School Volunteer Process

We welcome community members to volunteer at all of our buildings. Each building has a standard procedure/onboarding process for volunteering. Please contact the building secretaries or the PTO for more information.

Coaching Volunteer Process

Our volunteer coaches are an integral part of our coaching staff and assist our coaches in a variety of different skill sets including individual workouts, offensive and defensive strategies, practice planning, etc.

Volunteer coaches will go through the American Sports Education Program and be certified in a number of different areas including CPR, AED usage, IHSA bylaws and coaching philosophies.

Nikki Gudall - Volunteer of the Year Award

Nikki Gudall had volunteered throughout the district while her children were in school, helping staff and teachers with many tasks. Gudall spent numerous hours organizing the Book Rooms in each of the district’s buildings.

Nominations can be made throughout the year and the deadline to submit a nomination is February 15. An award winner will be announced at the April Board of Education Meeting.
