Natalie Biddle - We are thrilled to announce one of our newest team members, Natalie Biddle to the GKHS team! 

Ms. Biddle attended Eastern Illinois University and for graduate school she  attended Northern Illinois University. She is most excited about meeting her students and building great connections with tem as well as the staff this school year. When not at school, you will find Ms, Biddle traveling, spending time with family and friends, golding and shopping! 

At Genoa-Kingston School District 424, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community.  For Ms. Biddle our mission statement means, “that my job as the school counselor helping students find what they want to do after high school to be not only a contributing adult but also enjoy whatever career path they choose.”

Laura Burkett - It is with great excitement that we extend a big welcome to our newest team member, Laura Burkett. 

Ms. Burkett graduated from Northern Illinois University and is most excited about meeting new colleagues and students this year! In her free time you will find her cooking/baking and hanging out with friends. 

At Genoa-Kingston School District 424, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. We asked Ms. Burkett what our mission statement means to her and she said, “Making sure students are aware of all resources they have available to help them succeed and provided ample resources for students. I think it's also important to establish and build an environment within the classroom so that students are motivated to learn and also help each other when possible.”

Sarah Denovellis - Please join us in welcoming Sarah Denovellis to the GK high school team! 

When asked what Ms. Denovellis, who graduated from Illinois State University,  is most excited for this school year, she said, “to learn from her students and colleagues this year.” In her free time, you will find Ms. Denovellis reading and going on walks.

At Genoa-Kingston School District 424, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. For Ms. Denovellis, this means helping students build skills that are transferable to not only other classrooms but also the real world. “An important goal of mine is to make sure what we do in the classroom has relevance to students' lives so they can employ learned skills in their communities,” said Ms. Denovellis.

We extend our heartfelt welcome once again to Ms. Denovellis!

Courtney Howle - We are delighted to introduce the newest team member to our staff, Courtney Howle. She will be working with both our high school and elementary school students. 

Ms. Howle received a Bachelors in Special Education LBS (Learning Behavior Specials) with PEL from Northern Illinois University. When not at school, Ms. Howle finds joy in pursuing various interests during her free time. Some of those interests are trying new food places with her husband and taking their dog on adventures!

At Genoa-Kingston School District 424, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. For Ms. Howle, our mission statement means providing our students with extensive knowledge and support to become active and positive members in society. Whether that be volunteering or working in the community.

Let us extend a warm welcome to Ms. Howle, as we embark on this journey of growth and learning together!

Cassidy Purvis - We are thrilled to introduce, Cassidy Purvis to the GKHS team! 

Ms. Purvis attended Stillman Valley High School and completed her undergraduate in Mathematics Education from Illinois State University. In her free time you will find Ms. Purvis spending time with her family, friends and dog, Tessa. She also enjoys baking, watching TV and traveling.

We asked Ms. Purvis what it means to her and she said, “It means to challenge students to become critical thinkers and demonstrate how to serve. It involves encouraging students to reach their full potential as we guide them to become well-rounded young adults.”
