School buildings will be closed starting Tuesday, June 2 and reopen Wednesday, August 5. The District office will be open throughout the summer and closed the following days: Closed on Fridays  | Thursday, June 18 | Thursday, July 2

GKMS held their annual Poppy Flower Poster Competition and the posters were displayed for Memorial Day at the Genoa VFW. The poppy flower has long stood as a symbol of remembrance and sacrifice, and our students did an incredible job honoring veterans through their creativity and artwork.

Best in Show went to Elsie Sundquist, and her poster will remain on display at the VFW for the entire year.

Due to Main Street in Genoa being closed next week, our bus routes may be affected and run later than usual.

Students who ride the bus to school will be excused if their bus arrives late. Students who arrive at school by other means of transportation need to plan ahead and will not be excused.

GKHS Seniors who are planning to attend Kishwaukee College this fall were invited to participate in the Kish One Stop field trip! Through this partnership with Kishwaukee College, students had the opportunity to meet with academic advisors, register for classes, and connect with staff from across campus as they prepare for the next step in their journey.
